In 1981 Rayner IOLs were the first IOLs to be approved as safe and effective by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The C-flex injectable IOL is approved since May 2007 by the FDA. Registration of the range of lens products is in process with the North American authorities. As such some of these products may not yet be available in the USA and Canada.
